What are defence competitive exams?
Defence competitive exams in India fall into three big buckets: UPSC officer-entry exams like NDA/NA and CDS, direct service-entry exams like AFCAT, Agniveer and Coast Guard tests, and officer/enrolled-personnel recruitments for the Navy and Coast Guard. Most of them are national-level, and many combine a written exam with physical tests, medical tests, or SSB/selection-board stages.
